Vanadium

Introduction:

Vanadium is a trace element found in earth minerals without any recommended daily allowance. It has been described to be nonessential or only necessary in minute quantities.

 

Vanadium role in humans:

There is no intake guidance established and the physiological role in humans has not yet been determined. It has been found to have some benefit in reducing insulin requirements in diabetes mellitus patients but with gastrointestinal side effects.
